Caitlyn Jenner chats ex-wife Kris’ ‘over the top’ Christmas parties and ‘downplaying’ this year’s

Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve bash is a highlight of the festive season for their A-list friends who live in California.  

And on Monday, Caitlyn Jenner discussed ex-wife Kris’ extravagant Christmas parties, branding them ‘over the top’ and insisted that this year, festivities will be ‘downplayed’ and kept ‘within the family.’

The former Olympian, 71, appeared on Loose Women, where she explained why Keeping Up With The Kardashians is ending and living life through reality television.

Speaking about her upcoming Christmas plans and ex-wife Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve extravaganza in California, Caitlyn admitted: ‘It is going to be different this year.

‘We’ve been talking to the kids. We are still going to do a Christmas party but it is going to be much smaller. In the past, these Christmas parties are over the top, it just amazed me every year.

‘So this year is going to be downplayed a little bit but we are still going to have it within the family, we are still going to have our Christmas.’   

Caitlyn also was the quizzed about Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and the reasons for the hit reality show coming to an end.

Speaking of her daughters, who all still appear on KUWTK Caitlyn, mused about the situation and concluded that after 13 years, ‘it’s just time to move on.’

She explained: ‘Well, these girls have been, our family’s been doing that show forever. Kendall and Kylie grew up on the show, they were like nine and 10, or something like that when the show started.

‘If you would have told me 13 years ago that when the show started it would go on and my kids would grow up on that show, I would have said “you’re crazy it’s never going to happen”, we don’t have that many stories!

‘And to see the kids grow up, to see the kids mature, to see how entrepreneurial they became.

‘You know I remember telling them at the beginning, “being a celebrity or being out there in the public eye depends on how you look at it, but it can be a business”.

‘And they have been very smart, very entrepreneurial. I couldn’t be prouder of any off them. And you know, It’s just time to move on at this point.’

Asked if she’s able to relax and have a life away from reality TV, Caitlyn insisted: ‘Yes, I have my own little life. By the way two days ago – I got a hole in one. And yeah I do. 

‘Actually what was interesting during this whole pandemic thing, the first couple of months, I am just sitting around doing absolutely nothing, and I’ve always done something and I’m thinking what can I do?

‘So honestly, I started a YouTube channel and do my own production. So I honestly have had a lot of fun doing it.

‘I do a wide variety stuff on this thing, from make-up tutorials to cooking, taking off road cars out, I fly – I do this, that. I am kind of documenting everything and I am really having a lot of fun with it!’

Loose Women panellist Carol asked: ‘Can you imagine a time where you think you’ll put your slippers on and think “I can’t be bothered to report on my life today”?’

Caitlyn admitted: ‘You know what, I don’t think I’ll ever put my slippers on! I love life. Since the last time I saw you, I turned 71. I just enjoy life!

‘I enjoy getting up, getting going, doing something, and yeah my days are always very full. I get up very early, I go to bed early – not quite this early that’s why I have my cup!’ said the star holding up her Loose Women mug.

Andrea asserted: ‘You’ve got 18 grandchildren to shop for Christmas,’ to which Caitlyn confessed: ‘Christmas shopping is very difficult for me!’ 

Discussing how her 2020 has played out, with coronavirus sweeping the globe and forcing plans to change, Caitlyn explained: ‘I was in the UK when the quarantine came down and travel restrictions.

‘I had to leave two days early, honestly I had and the world had no idea what was going to happen.

‘It’s been a tough year on everybody. I am so excited for 2020 to go bye bye.

‘And let’s hope next year, 2021, we can get this thing figured out and get the world back to normal. I want to come back to the UK!’

Carol asked Caitlyn – who took part in I’m A Celebrity 2019, which was located in Australia – ‘I’m A Celebrity this time, they were in Wales. Would you have gone to Wales do you think?’

Caitlyn admitted: ‘Well yes I probably would have if they’d asked. But I’ve done that show, I’m kind of moving on in life. But I remember it was a year ago right now that I was in the jungle.

‘Two days ago, three days ago, I texted everyone from the jungle and I said “can you believe it, one year ago today we were eating cow balls, getting cow guts spilled on top of us”, and all the things that were going on.

‘We just had no idea what the world was going to be like when we got out. I said to everybody “the jungle looks pretty good right now”.

‘It’s been a tough year for everybody, but it was a great experience, something you look back on it and say “boy that’s a great experience”, but actually going through it, it’s very difficult.’
