Shane Warne puts his $6million Brighton mansion up for auction after dropping the price by $1million

Shane Warne is putting his multi-million dollar mansion up for auction on Saturday. 

The retired sportsman, 50, purchased the home in Brighton, an affluent suburb in Melbourne’s south-east, in April 2018 for $5.4million and now hopes to sell it for between $5.8-$6.83million.

According to the Herald Sun Shane had originally hoped to sell the home in April, but was forced to cancel his auction at the last minute due to coronavirus restrictions.

What’s more, the home was originally listed for $6.8-$7.4million, which is close to $1million more than the current guide. 

Shane, who recently underwent hotel quarantine after returning from the UAE, where he was a team mentor for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. 

‘He’s out of hotel quarantine and he’ll be there on the day,’ JP Dixon director Jonathan Dixon told the publication.

‘It’s all been pretty tight on timing, with a three-week turnaround since he arrived, but that’s just Shane. Fingers crossed we have some people who are interested.’ 

The house boasts five bedrooms and bathrooms, a large swimming pool and spa, a basement theatre, a bar, and an underground garage with space for four cars.
