The woman’s desperate attempt to save her ended relationship came to light after the footage became trending online on Wednesday.

In the clip filmed by an onlooker, the heartbroken lover is seen walking past streams of traffic when a white car decorated with flowers and ribbons approached the middle of the junction.

She then stopped in front of the wedding car and extended her arms, trying to stop it from moving forward in front of stunned pedestrians.

Even when the vehicle tried to swerve around her, the woman followed and tried to block it in a determined fashion.

The woman was trying to stop her ex-boyfriend from getting married after discovering the news, multiple witnesses told local newspaper Yulin Daily.

She eventually left the road with disappointment after failing to convince her ex-boyfriend to change his mind.

Other clips show the heartbroken lover holding her mobile phone while shouting ‘I’m never going to leave you’, seemingly speaking to the newly-wed man on a call.

The footage quickly drew attention online, with many web users feeling sorry for the woman and suggesting her to move on.

One viewer said: ‘Silly girl. Go home and heal your wounds. You will meet someone better after you get through this one.’

Another commenter sighed: ‘Don’t force it. It’s not meant to be. One day, you will thank him for not marrying you.’

Moving on from a past relationship can be painful for many, but another woman in China decided to double the pain by making her cheating ex-boyfriend cry as much as she did.

Ms Zhao, who was left devastated after being dumped by her partner of over a year, ordered a tonne of red onions to be delivered to her ex-boyfriend’s front door, with a note that read: ‘I’ve cried for three days, now it’s your turn.’
