Rebecca Judd reminisces about the elaborate gown she wore to the 2019 NGV Gala in Melbourne

After a year of lockdowns and cancelled events, Rebecca Judd is reminiscing about last year’s NGV Gala in Melbourne.

In a series of posts on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, the 37-year-old football WAG shared photos and videos of herself attending last year’s gala in November. 

‘One year ago but feels like a lifetime. @jatoncouture cannot wait to recreate magic again at @ngvmelbourne,’ she captioned a video of herself strutting around mirrored disco balls in an elaborate gown.

Bec stepped out in a stunning floor-length gown by Melbourne label J’Aton Couture.

The dress featured a frilly skirt with a thigh-high split and sweeping train, and a fitted bodice with a cross strap design.

It also boasted a cut-out panel on the body, which showed off Bec’s lithe frame, and she wore her hair in a high retro-inspired ponytail.

Bec accessorised simply with strappy silver stilettos, a silver box clutch purse, and stud earrings.

In a separate post on Instagram Stories, she described the look as ‘epic’.

While the gown was undoubtedly stunning, it proved to be a nightmare for Bec when she tried to get into the car to go to the event.  

‘I can’t get in,’ exclaimed Bec prior to the event, while trying to squeeze her glittering custom gown into her chauffeur-driven Range Rover.

The brunette shared several video clips to her Instagram Stories of her struggle at the time.   

She then proceeded to strain herself and pull several animated facial expressions as she attempted different methods of fitting into the large four-wheel drive.
