I’m A Celebrity: Aerial photos show Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s £1,000-a-WEEK cottages

They have been joking about living in static homes while presenting I’m A Celebrity.

But Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are actually enjoying the finer things in life, staying at luxury £1,000-a-week cottages in North Wales, which are situated right next to the caravan park near Gwrych Castle.

Aerial footage shows the homes tucked away on private land complete with a fishing lake, hot tub and sprawling gardens which are surrounded by woodland.

Wow: They have been joking about living in static homes while presenting I’m A Celebrity, but Ant and Declan are actually staying at luxury £1,000-a-week cottages in North Wales which are situated right next to the caravan park

The pair have been forced to swap their normal luxury Palazzo Versace hotel in Australia for the cottages, which has prompted Ant’s ongoing gag about living in a static home due to the rental homes being situated by a caravan park.

Ant, 45, and his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett, 43, are staying in one cottage with their dogs while Dec, 45, is next door with Ali, 41, and their daughter Isla.

Earlier on in the series, the pair were discussing Jordan North not changing his underwear when Dec asked Ant: ‘Do you change your undies every day?’, to which Ant replied: ‘Absolutely, clean undies every morning. And do you know how I know they’re clean? Because I wash them myself.

‘The kitchen sink in my static home has many uses!’ Dec then quipped: ‘It sounds like you’ve landed on your feet in this static home. Have you got a washing line as well to dry them on?’.

Ant said: ‘Better than that, my friend, I dry them in the bedroom. You see the wind just wafts straight through the broken window. Bang, dry.’

But the pair actually have a round-the-clock security team, while a footpath popular with hikers, which would give them full view of the cottages and the luxury caravans, has been closed by the local council.

The duo rarely ventured our into the small town of Penmaenmawr much to the disappointment of locals who have placed their pictures in local shops and cafes.

The TV hosts have been driven out of their temporary homes each day at 4.45pm in a fleet of blacked-out Range Rovers followed by more security in a black estate car.

The Welsh abode boasts a spacious kitchen and plush lounge and even a trout farm.

Dec, who thus far, hasn’t been seen stepping out has the luxury of a hot tub at an extra £65 a week if it takes his fancy.

Funny: During a joke about where they're living Ant said: 'The kitchen sink in my static home has many uses!' Dec then quipped: 'It sounds like you've landed on your feet in this static home. Have you got a washing line as well to dry them on?'

The Cottages, which the duo are renting, are next to a fishery and one local quipped: ‘They should change the show’s name to ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get me Trout of here.’

Next to their homes is a line of luxury caravans where the star’s minders and TV production staff are being put up.

The whole area has been cordoned off and is in anti Covid-19 bubble where only those who are in the inner circle are allowed to enter. All staff, including Ant and Dec, are tested for Covid every three days.

As for the sleeping arrangements, there seems to be four bedrooms for Ant and Dec to choose from. The master bedroom boasts an ensuite bathroom as well as an armchair placed by the window and lots of storage.

Pictures from the luxury cottage reveal a large tiled room with white flooring and a walk-in shower – nothing like the tin tub and water pump at Gwrych Castle.

The rest of the I’m A Celebrity team are staying at the Golden Sands Holiday Park in Rhyl, North Wales.

A source told The Sun: ‘Golden Sands is more than equipped to host the giant crew… They might not get a tan though.’

MailOnline has contacted a representative for I’m A Celebrity and for Ant and Dec.

There are just six remaining celebrities- Giovanna Fletcher, Vernon Kay, AJ Pritchard, Sir Mo Farah, Shane Richie and Jordan North- battling it out for a place in Friday’s final.

Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire were eliminated on Monday’s show, while Russell Watson and Jessica Plummer were given the boot on Tuesday night.

I’m A Celebrity continues weekdays on ITV at 9pm.
