An eerie abandoned farmhouse that looks locked in time has been discovered after being silent for decades because of a family feud.

The countryside home features a cobweb-covered pram, dusty children’s toys, crumbling fireplaces in every room, and sun-damaged wallpaper and carpets.

In one of the rooms an old newspaper dated 31 May 1953 was found while the walls of the entire house have paper peeling away with age.

It is believed to have been deserted amid a family feud between two brothers who were banned from the property by other relatives after their mother, Mary Cowell, died.

Urban explorer Dean Slader, 32, said: ‘I’ve been all over the UK with my photography.

‘I love exploring deserted buildings.

‘This one was fascinating, it was like being in a time capsule.

‘Once inside the property, there were many possessions including vintage children’s toys including a rocking horse and vintage pram.

‘There also sits in the home, many old black and white portraits of the previous owners, old fashioned furniture and an old newspaper dating back to the Queens Coronation special in 1953.’

Dean, who lives in Leyland, Lancs, went on to say that he next wants to explore disaster sites in countries such as Belgium and Ukraine.
