The musician, who raises three children with parenting blogger Giovanna, has been tuning in every night while she competes in the twentieth series of long running reality show.
But he struggled to control his emotions after she missed out on the opportunity to win an all-important message from her family over the weekend.

Reacting to the scenes in an Instagram video, Tom, 35, admitted watching his wife cry after becoming one of only two campmates to miss out was the ‘hardest thing’ he’s had to watch during her two week stay in north Wales.
He told fans: ‘That was really tough to watch. It was awful seeing her getting upset about a letter from home, I wish she got it.
‘Everyone must be really craving it but especially those with young kids, they must really crave that connection from home. That’s been the hardest thing to watch so far.’

Sharing a second video later that evening, the guitarist thanked fans for keeping his wife in the show ahead of its final week.
He added: ‘It was really tough tonight when she didn’t get her letter from home. That was really difficult to watch, it was horrible to see her upset but she’s still there.
‘Hopefully she will get another chance to win her letter from home, it was horrible seeing that.’

Speaking in the castle telegraph after failing to win her letter, a tearful Giovanna admitted she was desperate to hear from Tom and their three children, Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two.

She said: ‘How lovely would it be to hear from Tom and the boys, just a sentence?
‘Your heart aches and then you attach yourself to anything… it’s a sentence and I’m going to pretend each sentence anyone gets is from the kids and I’m going to adopt them like they’re mine.’
