Bella Hadid marvels at how much her horse Blue has ‘grown up’ in throwbacks of her riding bareback

She spent much of the pandemic quarantining at her mother Yolanda Hadid’s farm in Pennsylvania.

And Bella Hadid was nostalgic for her time out in the country on Monday when she shared some photos of herself with her beloved horse Blue to Instagram.

The 24-year-old model looked peaceful in the pictures, which appeared to be old, as she sat bareback on the gorgeous steed.

Bella was perched on Blue in a gray tank top and high-waisted acid wash jeans with white and blue New Balance trainers.

The brown horse faced forward as she leaned forward to pat its side, before running her hand up to caress its neck.

The catwalk star didn’t have a saddle on Blue, though it wasn’t clear if she was planning on riding him.

‘My baby He’s grown up so much since this point,’ she captioned the photos, adding, ‘I’m very proud.’ 

Bella has long been an equestrian, and she was even on a path to compete at the 2016 Olympics until health issues scuttled her hopes.

Early that year, her mother Yolanda revealed in a blog for her series The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills that Bella’s Lyme disease diagnosis made it impossible for her to continue riding at the time.

‘Bella had to give up her lifelong dream of having a professional riding career and a shot at the Olympics due to her severe symptoms and inability to ride,’ her mother wrote.

‘This was the biggest heartbreak of her life and an extremely sensitive subject for her. She is resilient and focused on a new direction — she’s made a name for herself in the modeling industry while she struggles with symptoms of chronic Lyme every day.’

Bella’s equestrian activities began way back when she was only three years old.

Although she has committed fully to modeling since her early days recovering from Lyme disease and no longer rides professionally, she has continued to foster strong bonds with her horses.

Blue is a regular fixture of her Instagram posts during her trips out to the country, and she has shown herself caring for other horses as well.

Earlier on Monday, the sister of Gigi Hadid put on a sultry display in a green velvet dress with a plunging neckline and a halter top.

She was advertising Michael Kors’ quilted Soho bag, and she carried a thick black model in her hands.

Bella was back to her regular brunette tresses after trying out a blonde wig last week.

She paired the eye-catching locks with a black sleeveless mock turtleneck as part of a photo dump of unrelated snapshots.

Other photos from her post featured throwback scenes, including an image of her and Gigi as children with their parents Yolanda and Mohamed Hadid as they appeared to celebrate the Fourth of July. 

Bella’s newest photo also featured hints of a new set of tattoos she got on her upper arms earlier this month.

Earlier this month, the celebrity tattoo artist Dr. Woo shared black and white images of two new designs he inked on her.

The ink was done in Arabic and translated to: ‘I love you’ and ‘my beloved.’
