Amanda Kloots and Elaine Welteroth are replacing hosts Eve and Marie Osmond on CBS’ The Talk

CBS daytime talk show The Talk is switching up their host lineup for 2021.

On Tuesday it was announced that Project Runway judge and journalist Elaine Welteroth, 33, and wife of the late Nick Cordero, Amanda Kloots, 38, would be joining the panel in replace of hosts Eve and Marie Osmond.

Both having sustained guest co-host roles in previous weeks, the ladies are now joining the show full time after the show carefully vetted the contenders for the 11th season of the Emmy-winning show.

New hosts: Amanda Kloots, 38, and Elaine Welteroth, 33, are joining The Talk in 2021 as the duo replace hosts Eve and Marie Osmond who announced their departure this fall, marking a mid-season transition

The Talk announced the news on their Instagram page as they wrote, ‘Congratulations! We are so thrilled and excited to welcome you to The Talk family.’

Kloots and Welteroth will join fellow hosts Sheryl Underwood, Sharon Osbourne, and Carrie Ann Inaba starting January 4.

The departure of Eve and Osmond marks a mid-season transition as the show continues to broadcast from their sound stage with Covid-19 protocols in place.

After four seasons on the show Eve announced she would be leaving in November as she said, ‘I want to concentrate on expanding our family, being with my family,’ while broadcasting from her home in London that she shares with billionaire husband Max Cooper.

Donny & Marie star Osmond, who joined the cast last season, announced her departure in September saying that she wanted to work on other projects.

Kloots and Welteroth – though very different from each other – both bring their own share of expertise to the show.

Kloots who is a former actress and now a popular fitness trainer has gained recognition as a ‘light in dark times,’ after her Broadway actor husband Cordero tragically passed away from the Coronavirus in July after a three month battle.

She was understandably shattered after losing her husband of three years and the pair share a one-year-old son together, Elvis.

Welteroth on the other hand has a journalism background and was named Editor-In-Chief of Teen Vogue in 2016 making her the second Black person to hold the title in Conde Nast’s 107-year history.

Elaine shared a heartwarming video to her Instagram on Tuesday as she told her mom on zoom that she ‘got the job.’

Penning a lengthy caption on her post she wrote, ‘OMG MOM I GOT THE JOB. Sooo, I guess I’ll be seeing you guys in your homes on national freaking television EVERY DAY!!’

Calling it a ‘dream job’ she wrote, ‘Landed in LA less than a month ago for more life and got blessed with the kind of divine assignment I never saw coming!’

‘And yet, the minute I sat down next to these incredibly warm, dynamic women who welcomed me in and let me learn from them, I knew there was something special brewing,’ she shared.

Elaine continued to call the show, ‘a platform that cultivates connection, kindness, and understanding in a singular moment in our world when we need it most,’ as she gushed over her new gig.

The ladies both have over 600K Instagram followers and are excited to start a new chapter in their lives as they take the stage alongside show vets Underwood, Osbourne, and Inaba.
