The fallout over Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s explosive physical confrontation has continued in very dramatic fashion.
Karen Huger ended up walking out of her own event to celebrate the launch of her new wig line after being confronted over inviting Monique during Sunday night’s episode of the Real Housewives Of Potomac.
As Monique, 37, and Candiace, 33, famously had an on-camera fight which even resulted in them accusing each other of second-degree assault and filing legal complaints against each other, the two had been kept apart in social situations.

Earlier in the episode, Monique revealed to Ashley Darby that Karen, 57, had been asking her to come to the event as she said: ‘She’s been asking me all weekend to come and I told her if I do come, I can come early — [she’s] obviously going to invite Candiace and I want to support [her], but I’m not ready to be in the same space as Candiace.’
Ashley, 33, was shocked by the revelation as Karen said during a girls’ trip to Portugal that she wasn’t planning on inviting Monique.
Regardless Monique showed up to support Karen about 30 minutes before the official start of the launch.

Monique clarified her reasons for attending in a confessional as she said: ‘To lie about inviting me definitely hurt, but you know what? It’s her night. It’s her party. She’s going to do what she needs to do to protect her event, and I’m not mad about that.’
The two ladies sat down for a glass of champagne before the event but Karen received a text from Candiace saying that she was on the way to the event.
Karen seemed to be a little flustered by the message and informed Monique that her rival would be arriving soon.

Understandable: Monique said in a confessional: ‘I thought we would be able to relax … have a glass of champagne and catch up. So I’m like, why are you rushing me out?’

Minutes after her exit, the rest of the cast – except for Gizelle Bryant – arrived including Candiace, Ashley, Robyn Dixon, and Dr. Wendy Osefo.
Things began in a fun way but it quickly turned when Ashley jokingly presented Karen with a gift of Pepcid which was a reference to their Portugal trip in which she complained about an ulcer thus avoided over-indulging in alcohol.

The argument began over drinking but quickly shifted to Monique’s invite to the event despite Karen previously saying she would not do so out of respect for Candiace.
Ashley said: ‘Monique made it clear that you did invite her to come. And then Monique herself suggested, ‘Well, maybe I should come to set up. Why isn’t she here right now?’
Karen was obviously uncomfortable with being confronted about it in front of the cast and crew as she said: ‘We have guests here. I’m going to ask you to be respectful. So I’m going to get ready and enjoy the rest of my evening. And thank you all for coming. Okay? Thank you.’
