James Martin’s This Morning segment descends into CHAOS

‘I got up at 5am to come here!’ James Martin’s fumes as his soup boils over, blender lid flies off and host Phillip Schofield questions ‘skid mark’ in his dish in chaotic This Morning segment

He usually presents a seamless cooking segment when he appears on This Morning, trying out his dishes for hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Yet James Martin’s appearance on the magazine show descended into chaos on Monday, as he tried to prepare a bowl of soup and cheese straws for the presenters.

As James, 48, talked viewers through how to make the straws, Holly, 39, shouted over to alert the TV chef that his soup was boiling over.

Oops! James Martin’s appearance on the magazine show descended into chaos on Monday, as he tried to prepare a bowl of soup and cheese straws for the presenters

Holly cried: ‘You’re soup, James, your soup!’

Meanwhile James quipped: ‘I know what I’ll be doing at the break, cleaning the hob!’

However moments later, Phil added: ‘It’s going again, there’s not going to be anything left in that pan!’

Trying to take control of the situation, James then said: ‘Back over to our soup, whatever we have left, yeah there’s some there!’

Watch out! As James, 48, talked viewers through how to make the straws, Holly, 39, shouted over to alert the TV chef that his soup was boiling over

However disaster struck again when he went over to his blender and then lid came flying off.

Holly joked: ‘You’re having a really good day aren’t you?’

Unable to contain his stress, James playfully fumed: ‘I’ve got a director in my ear saying I’ve got seven minutes, then six minutes, now I’ve got one minute apparently. Look at the state of this!’

However Phil soon added insult to injury by questioning James on what the ‘skid mark’ was in his soup.

Phil: ‘In this soup I’ve just eaten, there was a brown skid mark. What was that?’

While an exasperated James, replied: ‘I got up at 5 in the morning to come here!’

Later in the show Phil and Holly panned back to James in the studio kitchen as he continued to clear up the mess he had made while cooking.

Phil said: ‘He’s still clearing up!’

James added: ‘There’s nothing left to see!’, while mopping away at the floor.
