Gwyneth Paltrow plugs bread knife worth a whopping £262 on Goop and it SELLS OUT

Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle website Goop is advertising a bread knife worth a whopping £262.

Not only that, it has sold out.

The actress, 48, is urging shoppers to splash out on their cookware this Christmas, promoting the Zwilling knife for the princely sum.

The knife comes in three sizes – but all are currently unavailable. 

The German-made accessory is made exclusively for the Hollywood star’s site, and is described as having a ‘scalloped serration specifically designed to minimize crumbs and tearing, meaning that you can take on even the crispiest baguette without the crust exploding all over the counter’.

Gwyneth is also plugging another bread knife, but this one’s 1/7 of the price at £37.

Made by Opinel, the N°116 knife – also German – come with an almost identical description.

‘Your bread-baking game has come too far to crush a perfectly crunchy crust with a dull blade. Opinel has your upgrade.

Seemingly keen on baguettes, Gwyneth is also plugging a lamp made out of a French stick.

Going for £160, the bizarre Japanese invention is described as ‘the perfect gift for anyone with a sourdough starter—or a love of whimsical home décor’.

The description reads: ‘This loaf-shaped lamp is made of actual bread (don’t worry, it’s thoroughly coated in resin to prevent any pests from getting at it) and a LED light that radiates a warm, comforting glow in whatever room it’s in.’
