The celebrities who picked up a gong at this year’s socially distanced ARIA Awards

And the winners are… The celebrities who picked up a gong at this year’s socially distanced ARIA Awards

Guy Sebastian picked up the award for Best Video at the ARIA Awards in Sydney on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old Choir singer was one of just a handful of celebrities on hand to collect their award live at the socially distanced award show.

‘Such an honour to be amongst everybody who was nominated, and it’s never something that I take for granted winning something like this,’ he said.

Following Guy’s win, Tim Farriss and Kirk Pengilly from INXS took to the stage to present the award for Best Group.

‘Well, this is weird,’ noted Kirk, 62, as he stared out at the empty auditorium, before presenting the award to Tame Impala, who accepted virtually.

‘Thank you so much, guys. There’s still music playing. That’s cool. This means a lot to us,’ they said.

More to come.
