Taylor Swift celebrates her impressive six Grammy nominations with Folklore collaborators via Skype

She snagged six Grammy nominations, stemming from her surprise album Folklore and for her haunting track Beautiful Ghosts from the film adaptation of Cats. 

And Taylor Swift, with a glass of red wine in hand, celebrated the impressive feat with her tight knit team of collaborators via Skype and FaceTime on Tuesday.

‘ask us how our days been,’ captioned the singer-songwriter, 30, who shared a photo of the remote hangout with her 140million followers.

Swift was joined via computer and iPhone by Jack Antonoff, Jonathan Low, and The National’s Aaron Dessner.

The trio helped Taylor craft her eighth studio album, which was released exactly four months ago on July 24. 

The album is up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, while the Mean singer’s lead single, Cardigan was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.  

Taylor was also recognized in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her team up with Bon Iver on the moody, break-up track Exile.

Her song that she wrote with Andrew Lloyd Webber for the controversial 2019 film adaptation of Cats, ‘Beautiful Ghosts’ earned a slot in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category. 

She is tied with rapper Roddy Ricch, 22, and UK-based pop princess Dua Lipa, 25.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2006 with her successful self-titled debut album, Taylor has amassed 10 Grammy wins and 40 overall nominations.

According to the Recording Academy, Swift happens to be ‘one of only two female solo artists, along with Adele, to win Album Of The Year twice for her solo recordings.’

The Pennsylvania native was awarded Album Of The Year for her sophomore album Fearless in 2010 and for her first official pop record 1989 during the 2015 award ceremony.  

The Grammy Awards will air on CBS on January 31, 2021, from Staples Center in Los Angeles. Daily Show host Trevor Noah was announced as host of the show.

Right now, the Recording Academy is planning several production options, which vary depending on where the coronavirus pandemic stands.

This year’s Grammys will be the first since the live show’s executive producer and showrunner Ken Ehrlich retired after 40-years. Ben Winston will be filling his shoes.

Along with the news of her six Grammy nominations, Taylor fans had even more to excited for when they learned the singer would be releasing a concert film titled ‘folklore: the long pond studio sessions’ at midnight on Disney+.

‘folklore: the long pond studio sessions’ was filmed in upstate New York and ‘will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 25, at 12:01AM PT.’  

Taylor, Dessner, Antonoff, and Vernon will perform all of Folklore’s tracks ‘in order,’ while also revealing ‘the stories and secrets behind all 17 songs.’
