Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been pranked by a Russian duo posing as Greta Thunberg during a ten minute phone call.

The pranksters, Russian comedians Vovan and Lexus, urged Trudeau to leave Nato and fix up a meeting with South Park characters.

Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, who are also known as Vovan and Lexus, released a recording of the phone call this week, with a third person posing as the young environmental activist.

The phone call, which was made in January, lasted for 10 minutes and ended with the prankster asking to meet some of the characters from South Park, at which point Trudeau ended the call.

The woman tells Trudeau she is ‘concerned about the growing international crisis’ and the ‘anticipation of the Third World War’, saying it was ‘very scary’.

Trudeau responds ‘yes indeed’ and goes on to highlight the need for deescalation on all sides.

The prankster continues: ‘You know that a lot of leaders and politicians only score political points.’

On the topic of Nato, the fake Greta Thunberg urges Trudeau: ‘But leave Nato. Drop your weapons. Pick flowers. Smile at nature.’

Trudeau can be heard saying: ‘I also dream of a world in which soldiers are not necessary, but we don’t live in that world yet, unfortunately.’

The prankster moves onto the topic of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, saying: ‘I also wanted to say that Prince Harry is a good friend of mine…

‘I want to ask you to take care of him, he’s a good guy. ‘

‘He is absolutely one of the good guys,’ Trudeau said, adding that Canadians are also ‘very fond of him’.

The prankster responds: ‘But I sometimes think that his wife manipulates him.’

Trudeau responds: ‘In every relationship, there are complicated concessions and compromises that are the art of living together. I have met Meghan a few times and she’s always been lovely when I met her.’

The phone call concludes with the fake Greta Thunberg asking if Trudeau can introduce her to Terrance and Phillip. ‘I know that they are big stars in Canada,’ she says.

‘I would be happy – I’ll ask my team to try and figure out how we can connect you,’ Trudeau replies. ‘Because I don’t have their direct coordinates with me now.’

She repeats the question again before Trudeau realises. ‘Wait, Terrance and Phillip, where they not in South Park?’

‘I don’t personally know them. I believe they are South Park parodies of Canadians,’ he says.

Trudeau then politely wraps up the phone call.
