Rebecca Judd leaves Channel Nine as travel show Postcards is postponed due to Covid-19… after quitting her radio job at KIIS FM

Rebecca Judd has parted ways with Channel Nine after working for the network on and off for almost a decade.

A Nine spokesperson said on Tuesday that the 37-year-old hadn’t been able to film her segments for Victorian travel show Postcards due to the coronavirus pandemic, effectively leaving her without a position.

‘Covid-19 restrictions have meant that we have been unable to film new episodes of Postcards,’ the representative told Daily Mail Australia.

They continued: ‘Rebecca is great talent and we would welcome the chance to work with her again should the right opportunity arise.’

Rebecca began hosting Postcards in 2011. She was also previously the weather presenter for Nine News Melbourne.

The announcement comes after the footy WAG quit KIIS FM’s 3pm Pick-Up radio show this week, after three years on the air.

She will be replaced in the afternoon time slot by comedian Kate Langbroek in 2021, the Australian Radio Network confirmed on Monday.

Kate will join Rebecca’s 3pm Pick-Up co-hosts Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond and Yumi Stynes from January.

Rebecca had hosted the daily radio program alongside Monty for two days a week, while Yumi sat in her chair for the other three days.

ARN’s chief content officer Duncan Campbell said of Rebecca’s decision to quit the show: ‘Bec Judd has been a fantastic contributor to 3pm Pick-Up.

‘The engaging conversation, real-life anecdotes and fun she brought to the show will be missed, but we wish her well on her next endeavours.’

An ARN spokesperson said that Rebecca was leaving the show because she wanted to ‘take a break from media in the new year’.
