With the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner, Nick Cannon and Dr. Dre wanted to make sure residents of Compton have food on the table.
Cannon, 40, and Dre (real name Andre Young), 55, sponsored a Feed Your City Challenge event on Dre’s hometown of Compton, according to TMZ.
While Dre wasn’t at the event in person, Cannon was seen handing out food at the event on Saturday, which is the 10th event in the nationwide campaign, founded by music legend Tony Draper and retired NBA star Ricky Davis.

Citizens could pick up bundles of food, including free turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner during the event.
Personal protective equipment was also handed out to those in need at the event, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Social distancing measures were in place to make sure that guests were safe as COVID-19 continues to spread throughout Los Angeles and the entire country.

Cannon was seen handing out food to fans wearing a bright orange Nike hoodie and matching orange sweats with a black wrap over his head.
He also had on a black Feed Your City Challenge apron as he interacted with fans at the Compton event.
The actor was also seen watching a drumline perform, and as he was leaving, he also answered a few questions.

Cannon was asked if he feels ‘confident’ that President-elect Joe Biden will be able to ‘come through for the black community.’
‘I know I will. I don’t know what Joe Biden’s gonna do, but I will,’ Cannon said while leaving the event.
As Cannon was getting into his vehicle, he was asked what he wants for Christmas, and he said, ‘Unity. Peace on Earth,’ before leaving the event.

The first Feed Your City challenge took place in Norfolk, Virginia in June, sponsored by Pusha T, with a second event later that month in Petersburg, Virginia, sponsored by Trey Songz.
Steven Victor sponsored the July 3 event in New York City, in honor of the late rapper Pop Smoke, while Raphael Saadiq hosted the Oakland event.
There were also events in Los Angeles hosted by Mustard, Roddy Rich and Jhene Aiko, Miami hosted by Rick Ross and Port Author by Stephen Jackson.
