I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has hinted it will still have international stars on its localised 2021 season.

And now the first Hollywood star has been leaked.

Host Julie Morris had previously said celebrities would be ‘from here and abroad’ in the early promotional video.

The publication’s insider claimed ‘producers have wanted her [Lindsay] on the show for years’.

It comes after the Mean Girls star, 34, confirmed she will be returning as a judge for season three of The Masked Singer Australia in 2021.

Unable to join the quirky talent show’s panel during the second season due to COVID-19 border restrictions, Lindsay was replaced by Kiwi comedian Urzila Carlson.

However, after rumours of a big return, Lindsay confirmed the exciting news to The Ben, Rob & Robbo Internet Show earlier this month.

Lindsay wrote in an Instagram message to The Ben, Rob & Robbo Show producer Abbey Mikkelsen: ‘I will be back in Australia for season 3.’

The American star’s announcement follows a telling message exchange with fellow judge Dave Hughes.

‘I said to her, “Thanks for the follow… you coming back to Masked Singer?”‘ the comedian, 49, told his Hughesy & Ed show listeners in October.

Lindsay had unfollowed all of her panel members this year following her replacement by comedian Urzila.

According to Dave, Lindsay responded at the time: ‘I think so!!!! I hope so!!!! How’s it going over there?’

The official confirmation also comes after Channel 10 boss Beverly McGarvey stated there was ‘wiggle room’ for Lindsay to come back in some capacity when the network confirmed the show’s third season.

‘We love all the talent that we had on this year and we love Lindsay,’ the chief content officer and EVP of ViacomCBS Australia told news.com.au.

‘Our feeling at this point is that it feels fairly ambitious to think our borders are going to be open anytime soon.

‘Obviously we would love to have all our internationals back once we can, but I just don’t know when that’s going to be.’

In addition to Urzila, the judging panel for the show comprises singer Dannii Minogue, 48, stand-up comic Dave and radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 45.

It is unknown whether Urzila will be leaving the show as a result of Lindsay returning, or if the judging panel will increase to five next year.

Lindsay’s return will be a sweet note for The Masked Singer Australia, which saw a 37 per cent drop in ratings for season two this year.

The season average in the five cap cities was 928,000 in 2019 for overnight figures, compared to 816,000 in 2020, TV Blackbox reported.

Daily Mail Australia had contacted Channel 10 and Urzila Carlson for comment.
