Taylor Swift posts from a cozy cabin as she says there’s ‘not a lot going on at the moment’

Taylor Swift is seeking some peace and quiet from the safety of a cozy cabin as she shared a photo to social media on Sunday morning.

The 30-year-old pop hitmaker said, ‘not a lot going on at the moment,’ after music manager adversary Scooter Braun sold the master rights to her first six albums on Monday.

After his company Ithaca Holdings acquired her former record label Big Machine Label Group, Swift came out with a statement bashing the sale as she tweeted, ‘I hope this clears things up,’ while sharing a letter to the company that now owns her recordings.

Seeking solace: Taylor Swift, 30, shared a photo to social media sitting in a quaint cabin as she said there was ‘not a lot going on at the moment,’ after Scooter Braun sold the masters to her first six albums on Monday

Sitting in the quaint space on a small couch, a tranquil-looking Taylor rested her chin in her hand.

In the black and white photo she wore a pair of jeans and a checkered sweater with her hair tied back.

Having been relatively mum on social media after the disheartening news became public knowledge, she seemed to be slowly making her way back despite being largely MIA from the spotlight recently.

Speaking out about the sale of her old music, Swift said Braun’s team was trying to get her to sign an NDA forbidding her to speak ill about him despite being at war for over a year.

‘So, I would have to sign a document that would silence me forever before I could even have a chance to bid on my own work,’ she shared as she bashed the uncanny nature of the contract.

‘My legal team said that this is absolutely NOT normal, and they’ve never seen an NDA like this presented unless it was to silence an assault accuser by paying them off,’ she wrote.

She continued, ‘He would never even quote my team a price. These master recordings were not for sale to me,’ as she talked about knowing about Braun’s sale of her early albums to the private equity fund Shamrock Holdings.

Claiming it was the ‘second time’ her music had been sold ‘without her knowledge,’ the Shamrock team was forbidden to reach out to her ahead of the sale per Braun’s requests.

She also included a letter she wrote back in response to the team as she shared her disappointment upon knowing Scooter would receive ‘many years of future financial reward,’ from her masters, videos and album artwork.

She then shared that she would be going ahead with her plans to re-record her first five albums under new label Republic Records as outlined in her initial contract.

‘My contract says that starting November 2020 — so, next year — I can record albums 1 through 5 all over again — I’m very excited about it. … I think artists deserve to own their work. I just feel very passionately about that,’ she said in a 2019 CBS interview.

The longtime Justin Bieber manager and Swift have been feuding since 2019 after Braun purchased her masters in an effort to control her music catalog.

Subsequently trying to impede on her performance at the 2019 American Music Awards where she received the Artist of the Decade award, Braun and Big Label Records founder Scott Borchetta tried to prevent her from performing old songs.

Claiming that would mean Swift was ‘re-recording’ her music before she was allowed to, the duo also tried to bar her from access from using the now owned music in her Netflix documentary.

Recently Swift was named Songwriter of The Year at the second annual Apple Music Awards.

‘I wasn’t able to reach out my hand and touch somebody’s hand in the front row, I wasn’t able to take pictures with fans, so this, it means a lot to me,’ she said.

‘My songwriting, and the way that fans respond to the songs I write, and the kinda dialogue back and forth, and that kind of emotional exchange, is what I feel like has really kept me going this year,’ she concluded.
