Giovanna Fletcher once filmed a scene for TOWIE, alongside her reality star brother Mario Falcone, but was cut out of the show.
The 35-year-old writer and podcaster recounted the story during Saturday night’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
‘They talked me into being part of the scene. They really had to talk me into it,’ she told campmate Shane Richie of her reluctant decision to take part.

‘It was a massive thing for me to say I’ll do it. And then I got cut. I was more upset about being cut. I am not TOWIE enough!’
Shane reassured her that it happens to everyone.
‘I’ve done stuff in the past when I thought, hey, I’m in this movie, and I’ve watched it and I’m not in it and they’ve cut me.’ he said. ‘I got turned down this year by [CBeebies show] Mr Tumble.
‘So, we’re all out of work, my manager rings up and says I’ve put you up for this part, they’re making this movie before they go into lockdown and they want you to play a cheeky copper.
‘No. Don’t want [me]. Didn’t even get back to me.’

He went on: ‘I’ve starred with Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, and I’m thinking yeah I’m ready for Mr Tumble and no. Even Mr Tumble didn’t want to work with me!’
Giovanna consoled him, saying: ‘Sometimes you’re just not wanted. And that’s okay. You sort of keep riding the wave.
‘Sometimes TOWIE doesn’t want you. Sometimes Mr Tumble doesn’t want you. But someone will!’
While Giovanna has been in the Welsh castle, little brother Mario has been sure to continue supporting her despite being admitted to hospital.
She recalled: ‘It was a massive thing for me to say I’ll do it. And then I got cut. I was more upset about being cut. I am not TOWIE enough!’

With Giovanna on the screen taking on a task, he captioned the post: ‘Watching from my hospital bed!’
He shared another snap giving a thumbs down, his hand with a drip in it.
He captioned this: ‘Feel like poo but get to go home soon!’
It’s not clear why Mario was in hospital with MailOnline contacting his reps for comment at the time. He has since been discharged.

Mario shared a gushing post about Giovanna ahead of her I’m A Celeb debut a week ago.
Posting a series of snaps with her, he wrote: ‘So excited to see my sister on @imacelebrity. She will be so amazing!
‘I have been so lucky to have 2 amazing sisters that I have grown up being so close to. Through trials and tribulations we have always been there for one another.
‘Seeing @mrsgifletcher work so hard for years and be here now makes me so very proud. She deserves it! Please show her lots of love and support ❤️ Queen Gi ❤️ ‘
