Australian actress Radha Mitchell reveals which Hollywood heavyweight she’s learned the most from during her illustrious career after working with the likes of Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington and Johnny Depp

She’s the Australian actress whose career has gone from strength to strength over the past three decades. 

And this week, Radha Mitchell revealed which major Hollywood heavyweight she’d learned from the most during her illustrious career in the industry.

Speaking to Alana McLean on Ticker TV, Radha, 47, gushed: ‘I learned from Denzel Washington.

‘In terms of watching craft, he was probably one of the most inspiring. 

‘Watching his process, he was very much in character. His focus was just incredible, and everybody around him… what they were doing was elevated by his concentration.’

Radha worked alongside Denzel in the 2004 hit Man On Fire.

However, she also had plenty of praise for both Johnny Depp – who she starred in the hit movie Finding Neverland with – and Morgan Freeman, who she worked alongside on Thick as Thieves and Feast of Love.

‘There’s people like Johnny Depp who is just somehow… magical?’ she added.

‘Like a magical shaman who everyone was goo goo over, including me, and including my mum who was on set some of the time.’

She continued: ‘Morgan Freeman is so kind and lovely, and I’ve worked with him three times. He’s a lovely, lovely person. Very cool energy.’

Radha, who has been acting for more than 30 years, landed her first role in the ABC’s TV series Sugar And Spice in 1989.

Since then, she’s gone on to work on major blockbusters including Olympus has Fallen, Pitch Black, Phone Booth and Surrogates.
