Zoe Marshall recalls the first time she farted in front of her football star husband Benji

NRL WAG Zoe Marshall has recalled the first time she farted in front of her husband. 

The 36-year-old TV and radio presenter, who is married to NRL player Benji Marshall, made the startling revelation in an Instagram post on Thursday.

In the image posted on the social media platform, Zoe is seen in a hospital bed in labour with her son, Benjamin Fox, now two.

‘In over 11 years I’ve not farted in front of Benji, except in this moment when I had the epidural and heard someone fart,’ she began.

Upon hearing someone pass gas, Zoe said that she asked her husband Benji who it was, to which he replied it was her.

‘Do you know what that takes? What commitment that is…. to not fart in front of your husband for 11 years!’ Zoe explained.

The mother-of-one went on to encourage her followers to ‘let their gas go’.

‘I was raised like many of you, that girls don’t fart. That girls are nice, clean, quiet. We don’t poo or wee or bleed.’

‘Very confusing when all of these things happen to us. Very hard to navigate how to poop for the first time at your dates house? Anxiety much!’

Zoe has been candid about her journey through motherhood, giving a warts and all account of her highs and lows as a new mum. 

Speaking to MamaMia earlier this year, Zoe admitted at times she felt ‘disconnected’ from her husband.

She recounted the pair fighting over how to bathe the baby, with Zoe panicking they’d hurt the child when he got water in his mouth. 

Zoe wrote: ‘I freaked out, lashed out… And it was Benji’s fault. The stakes were so high. I remember feeling so mad at him. Irrationally mad. 

While the pair have learned to work through their feelings, she admitted: ‘There are still major moments of disconnect with my husband even though we are great most of the time.’ 

Zoe wed NRL Wests Tigers star Benji Marshall, 34, at a private estate in Byron Bay back in 2013.
