‘What a wonderful whirlwind you are’: Edwina Bartholomew celebrates daughter Molly turning 11-months-old by posting a blurry photo of the energetic little girl

Edwina Bartholomew celebrated her daughter Molly’s 11-month birthday with a heartfelt post on Instagram on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old Sunrise entertainment reporter shared a blurry photo of herself and her young daughter, revealing it was impossible to get her to keep still.

‘Eleven months today with my tiny companion. You are moving so fast, it’s getting harder to take a photo in focus,’ she wrote.

‘What a wonderful whirlwind you are, Molly. Never stop. Ok, stop at 6pm for bed but otherwise just keep going and going. The whole world is out there.’

The TV presenter welcomed Molly in December last year, and she’s the first child for Edwina and her husband of two years, fellow journalist Neil Varcoe.

She spoke about the difficulties of being a first-time mum in an interview with The Daily Telegraph in January.

‘The reality is it is so friggin’ hard. I naively thought after 15 years of shift work and working long days that I would take it all in my stride. But that wasn’t the case really at all,’ she said at the time.

In an editorial for The Courier Mail last month, Edwina revealed she’d broken all of her parenting rules, including no screens, organic food only and making sure the house wasn’t overrun by toys.

‘Fast forward nearly a year and I’ve broken them all, especially that last one,’ she wrote.

‘We are now living in a home run by a tiny human overlord with tiny bits and pieces of her little life scattered all over our formally pristine lounge and dining.’

Edwina admitted that while she’s okay with the increased mess, her ‘slightly OCD’ husband has had a hard time adjusting.

‘This is the new world dis-order, and it’s OK. Our child can watch Bluey, eating a supermarket-bought pouch, next to a mountain of toys, and we will all survive,’ she concluded.
