Former Studio 10 host Yumi Stynes is forced to call the police on a driver after they aggressively CHASED her down in their car and left her ‘shaking’

Yumi Stynes had a terrifying encounter with another driver while out on the road in Sydney on Wednesday.

In a post on Instagram, the 45-year-old former Studio 10 host revealed she’d been forced to call the police after a driver chased her down in their car.

The clearly shaken star also shared a photo of the offending driver’s vehicle, a silver Toyota hatchback.

‘Holy s**t! The driver of this car got p**sed off with my driving and chased my car veering, slowing down, speeding up, cutting in front of me, changing direction to follow me and generally menacing me from Hunters Hill to Macquarie Park,’ she wrote. 

She added: ‘I’m shaking and nauseous. I saw his face and have his number plate and called the cops. Has anyone had this happen? What next? I could puke.’

Fans rallied around the star in the comments section, with one person advising her to ‘stay in your car and wait for the police’.

But Yumi said she had thankfully made it safely to work after the horrifying ordeal.

The TV host is currently working at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, hosting their Art After Hours Online program.

‘Thank you for being brave and talking about this. It can feel lonely when you think you’re the only person that experiences situations like this,’ commented another follower. 

‘It’s so important to raise awareness. Thank you and love to you. I hope you are surrounded by love and support.’

Others said they’d had experienced similar experiences while out driving.

‘I really feel for you. It is a horrendous experience, you basically [fear] you for your life because these people are unpredictable,’ wrote one person. 

‘And the weird thing is you are on a public road that you are alone. I had something similar happened [sic] to me…

‘I’m glad your kids weren’t in the car. Surround yourself with love and self care today AND DEFINITELY REPORT HIM.’
