Big Brother star Daniel Gorringe FINALLY gets down on one knee to pop the question to girlfriend Ana Cannon – but it doesn’t go to plan
He teased an impending marriage proposal on Big Brother Australia.
And on Wednesday, Daniel Gorringe finally got down on bended knee in front of longterm girlfriend Ana Cannon to pop the question.
The former AFL player, 28, placed a hidden camera in their Melbourne home to capture the special moment – but it didn’t quite go to plan.

‘There comes a time in every man’s life where you find “the one”. You realise that you can’t live your life without her and that she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to you,’ Daniel began the clip.
‘There is probably only one thing left to do. And that’s to ask the most important question that you ever ask in your life. So it’s time for me to pop the question I think,’ he concluded the video introduction, which hinted to a marriage proposal.
Hiding a camera to capture the special moment Ana returned home, Dan greeted her at the door to say: ‘So you know how I love you more than anything in this world? And I couldn’t live my life without you?’
Daniel then got down on one knee, as Ana cupped her hands over her face in elation to what presumable was coming next.

She was expecting it: Daniel teased an impending marriage proposal multiple times on Big Brother Australia, so it’s assumed Ana was prepared for him to ask her hand in marriage
However, her boyfriend soon quashed her hopes by pranking her and asking if he could go out on the weekend.
Ana, clearly furious, walked away from Daniel saying ‘I can’t’, and closed a door in his face telling him to ‘f**k off!’ as he cheekily asked her if it was a ‘yes or no’.
His Big Brother co-stars and Instagram fans laughed at the prank, while others claimed it was a ‘horrible’ and ‘ruthless’ trick that would likely ruin the real proposal.
Even Ana herself responded in the comments, saying Daniel was a ‘deadset f***wit’.

Daniel had previously professed his love for on-again-off-again girlfriend Ana in a tearful video-call reunion a week earlier on the show.
He later reconciled with Ana in April after filming ended.

‘We broke up because I wasn’t mature enough,’ Daniel said on the show. ‘It’s so scary to lose the thing you love the most, and not to know if it will ever come back.’
When he entered the Big Brother house, Daniel told host Sonia Kruger: ‘I am single, but there’s somebody on the outside that I want to try and get back with.’
The couple are believed to have first started dating in early 2019.
Daniel had long been the bookies’ favourite to take out the title, but it was model Chad Hurst who took home the $234,000 prize at the live finale in July.
