Anthony Callea’s hilarious clap back to Donald Trump goes viral as he continues to claim he ‘won the election’ despite Joe Biden’s victory

Anthony Callea has hit back at Donald Trump for continuing to claim he ‘won the US election’, despite Joe Biden’s victory.

On Monday, the singer, 37, joked that he was crowned winner of Australian Idol, after the President tweeted he’d ‘won the 2020 election’.

‘I won Australian Idol,’ Anthony, who came runner-up in the 2004 season of the singing show, tweeted.

The post has received over 12,000 likes and has been retweeted 756 times.

Actor Rodger Corser also poked fun at Trump’s post claiming he had ‘won the US election’, earlier this month.

‘I won the Gold Logie,’ the Australian actor, 47, joked.

The Doctor Doctor star has been nominated for the Gold Logie three times in 2017, 2018 and 2019, but never won the award.

On Monday, Trump tweeted he had ‘won the election,’ despite his lawyers dropping a key element of his legal case in a bid to overturn Joe Biden’s victory.

‘I won the Election!’ Trump tweeted for the second time in an eight-hour span.

His lawyers in Pennsylvania have sued to try to stop its votes being certified.

But on Sunday, they significantly watered down their case by removing an alternative demand that all ballots counted in places where they claim poll watchers did not get access be declared invalid.

Opponents seized on the move, saying it was evidence of the weakness of the Trump legal claims. 

But Trump and his allies were defiant, saying that because the lawsuit still alleged that poll watchers had been kept more than six feet from ballot counters, the count was ‘unconstitutional.’
