Alec Baldwin and Kelsey Grammer are teaming up for a new ABC sitcom from the creator of Modern Family

Sitcom veterans Alec Baldwin, 62, and Kelsey Grammer, 65, are teaming up for a new ABC show. 

The Emmy winners will star in a yet to be named multi-cam show from the co-creator of Modern Family, Christopher Lloyd, and executive producer Vali Chandrasekaran, it was revealed on Tuesday.

According to Deadline, both Baldwin and Grammer will also serve as executive producers on the project which has been ordered straight-to-series by ABC.

The series will follow the reunion of three men who were roommates when they were young twenty-somethings and had a falling out. 

Baldwin and Grammer have been tapped to play two of the lead characters, however, the third character has not yet been cast.  

The untitled project is slated for the 2021-22 television season.

Longtime television comedy mainstays, the actors have worked together in the past in an episode of 30 Rock where Kelsey played himself.

ABC is bringing out the big guns in the hopes of getting a hit not only in the ratings but with critics. 

In 1984, Kelsey Grammer was cast as witty psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane in the iconic NBC sitcom Cheers. 

Later, the character was given a spin-off series, Frasier, which went on to be one of the most successful spin-offs in television history.

Airing from 1993-2004, Fraiser earned Kelsey four Prime Time Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and two Golden Globes. Grammer played his legendary character for two decades. 

Alec Baldwin is also no stranger to the sitcom world. He starred as network exec Jack Donaghy for seven seasons in Tina Fey’s satirical network comedy.

The actor brought home two Prime Time Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on 30 Rock. 

He also won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor for playing President Donald Trump on SNL.
