The publication hinted producers were toying with the idea of having teammates switch places through the renovations, while house swapping was locked in.

‘This will freak them all out and it will happen early in the series so that the Blockheads don’t spit the dummy regarding the amount of work they have done and the end result isn’t too affected,’ the insider claimed.

‘The Block has been going on for so long – not only is it about time it had a bit of a shake-up, but producers are fully aware that things need to change if they want the show to continue as a ratings hit,’ the source said.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.
