Diane also has a 20-year-old son, Duke. She adopted both children after she had turned 50 years old.

Despite never having found ‘true love’ with any of the men she was linked to, the actress was determined to make a family for herself, as she realized she would regret not having kids.

‘Motherhood completely changed me. My feeling is that with children, you really have to be your best self, always,’ she shared.

Speaking to Closer Weekly she said, ‘I spent too long worrying about whether a man loved me or not. I found that raising a child was the most humanizing of all loves. It is unconditional.’
