R&B singer The Weeknd is set to headline Super Bowl LV halftime show in February.

The 30-year-old hitmaker teased fans throughout the week about the big announcement, only to reveal his status as a showstopper on Thursday morning.

Weeknd — who’s real name is Abel Tesfaye — announced he’s ‘performing on the iconic stage’ Feb. 7 in Tampa Bay, Florida at the Raymond James Stadium.

‘We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position,’ he said in a statement. 

‘I’m humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year.’ 

The Weeknd released his fourth studio album in March, After Hours, and reportedly broke the record for the most global pre-adds in Apple Music history with more than one million users.
