Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline on ‘happy’ real-life romance with co-star Chase Stokes: ‘Love is tight!’
Outer Banks star Madelyn ‘Maddie’ Cline discussed her real-life romance with BFF-turned-leading man Chase Stokes for the first time since becoming Instagram official on June 14.
‘People were already speculating. People knew before we said anything,’ the South Carolina-born 22-year-old admitted to ET on Wednesday.
‘I think we were just wanting to kind of give it some time and enjoy it while it’s new and fresh and just kind of keep that to ourselves.’

Maddie said she ‘feels very happy’ now that they’re no longer keeping their relationship on the down low.
‘Love is tight!’ Cline exclaimed.
‘It’s cool to share this experience with your favorite people and also your favorite person.’
However, the Joe Biden supporters maintain a strict rule where they don’t argue or bicker about personal issues while working on the South Carolina set of their Netflix teen drama.

Cline and the Maryland-born 28-year-old are ‘a couple months’ into reprising their roles as onscreen couple Sarah Cameron and John B in the second season of Outer Banks.
‘We’re lucky and very fortunate to be back shooting right now. Filmmaking is a pretty intimate process,’ the Coastal Carolina University drop-out said of the COVID safety measures.

‘We’ve kind of found our groove with it…We’ve gotten comfortable and we know what our boundaries are, we are learning how to operate in that and still have a good time.’

Maddie teased that ‘the stakes are higher and the mystery gets deeper’ in season two, which has ‘a micro time jump.’
‘[The cliffhanger] does get answered,’ Cline noted. ‘This is gonna be fun and it’s gonna be shocking to watch as well.’
