I’m a Celebrity hosts promise fans ‘amazing TV’ thanks to ‘different schools of thought going in’

There are a number of names going around about who is set to join the cast of the upcoming season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 

And on Friday, hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown promised viewers the best season yet, as they appeared on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show. 

Amid rumours controversial Paleo chef Pete Evans might be going into the jungle, Julia said that the show will be good to watch because there’s ‘different schools of thought going in.’  

Spilling the beans: On Friday, I’m a Celebrity hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown appeared on Kyle and Jackie O and promised viewers ‘amazing TV’ on the upcoming season thanks to ‘different schools of thought going in’

‘We know the cast… the cast they’ve assembled together are going to generate some amazing TV for us to watch, because there’s lot of different schools of thought going in,’ Julia said. 

‘And after COVID and our various stages of lockdown… to be locked in with people with very different thoughts, it’s going to be exciting.’

Host Kyle Sandilands said he thought that mixing opposite personalities is a good idea.

‘I like that… I like a little bit of tension and people get to learn about each other and become more accepting and understanding of other people’s ways of life and cultures. I think it can do a lot to everybody,’ Kyle said.  

Last week, I’m a Celebrity fans threatened to boycott the show amid rumours that Channel 10 was trying to get Pete Evans to join the cast.  

In a frank discussion on Facebook, several viewers said they would not be tuning into the Channel 10 reality show if the disgraced chef was involved.

‘If Pete’s on, I’m not watching,’ one disgruntled fan bluntly wrote.

‘Pete Evans? That put me off watching altogether,’ another added. 

A third commented: ‘Pete makes my blood boil, I won’t be watching.’

‘DON’T’ put Pete Evans on this show! He’s a loser to begin with,’ another remarked.

Pete was once a respected restaurateur and spent a decade as a judge on Channel Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, alongside Manu Feildel. 

But these days, he is a conspiracy theorist who spreads dangerous lies on social media about vaccinations, medicine and the coronavirus pandemic.

In response to his extreme views, Seven has cut all ties with Pete – but Network 10 is now said to be considering offering him employment in a bid to draw ratings.

I’m a Celebrity returns to screens on January 3, and will be filmed in country New South Wales instead of South Africa due to border closures.

Earlier this month, Woman’s Day reported that Pete was on Channel 10’s wish list of star campers, alongside party-loving Instagram sensation Tammy Hembrow and former soap actress Bec Hewitt.

In another clue shared to the show’s Instagram, an unidentified woman wore a stunning white lace wedding dress while holding a bouquet of flowers.

Fans speculated it could be Bindi Irwin, thanks to the dress being similar to the one Bindi wore to her wedding earlier this year.
