Former MAFS bride Ines Basic says she still has unfinished business with Sam Ball

‘I still think about how it ended!’ Ines Basic says she still has unfinished business with Sam Ball – two years after he stood her up at the Married At First Sight reunion

She became one of the most memorable contestants on Married At First Sight for her steamy on-screen affair with co-star Sam Ball.

But more than two years on from starring on the controversial match-making series, Ines Basic is still reeling from having her heart ripped out on national television – and now she wants answers.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the 30-year-old is calling for Sam to be upfront about why he stood her up at the MAFS reunion finale.

‘I’m still quite upset!’ On Thursday, Ines Basic (pictured) said she still has unfinished business with Sam Ball – two years after he stood her up on the Married At First Sight finale

‘For someone to say they didn’t return to filming [the show’s reunion] because it was too dramatic and too draining, but they can undergo a whole army training… I call bulls***,’ said Ines.

‘I’m still quite upset with the way that it all played out and how it was handled.’

Ines went on to say she wants answers to his claims their on-screen romance was a sham as she ‘did really like him’ and ‘fully believed’ what they had was real.

‘It’s been over two years and… if he was set up that hard by production, can you at least tell me, “This is to the degree I was set up”. What do you mean?’ she said.

‘I still think about how it ended and it was really abrupt… I fully believed it and to hear nothing… It was so heartless.’
