Buddy Franklin shares a sweet tribute to his grandmother as she celebrates her 100th birthday

Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin shared a sweet tribute to his grandmother as she celebrated turning 100 on Thursday.

The 33-year-old footy star posted a photo of himself alongside his Nanna Belle to Instagram.

‘Happy 100th to my beautiful Nanna Belle. We had all planned to be with you today to celebrate,’ he wrote.

He continued: ‘As soon as borders are open we will be there for happy hour and the party you deserve.’

In the photo, Buddy smiled as he sat in a chair next to his grandmother, who posed for the camera.

Buddy’s wife Jesinta also commented on the post, writing: ‘We love you Nanna Belle.’

The post comes after the model, 29, confirmed she was ‘halfway through’ her second pregnancy to Vida Glow last month.

Jesinta and her husband only welcomed daughter Tullulah in February this year, after years of struggling to conceive.

‘It was a very big surprise for us. Tullulah will be getting a sibling at the end of March next year, so she will have just turned one,’ she said.

‘So I’ll have a 13-month[-old] and a newborn, which was very daunting at first. I found out a week after Buddy went into the [AFL] hub, which was all just a lot to deal with at once.’

‘It was very hard to conceive the first time with Tullulah, and for this (pregnancy) to be such an unplanned surprise is a blessing,’ she added.

‘I had the moment where, that I wished for with Tullulah, where you pee on a stick and it’s such a surprise and it’s very exciting.

‘So I got that moment where I feel like I missed out on with Tullulah just because of all the challenges.’

Jesinta and Buddy tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in the Blue Mountains, back in November 2016.
