‘Most arrogant person on TV’: Sunrise viewers call for David ‘Kochie’ Koch to be AXED from the show after Jennifer Hawkins snapped at him live on air for calling her a ‘property flipper’

Australian viewers have called for David ‘Kochie’ Koch to be axed from Sunrise, after a segment on Thursday’s show left guest Jennifer Hawkins less than impressed with the host.

David, 64, referred to the model and her husband Jake Hall as ‘property flippers’ – even though she has on numerous occasions insisted that she doesn’t want to be known under that title.

But when Kochie said it anyway – causing Jennifer to snap at the reference – viewers branded him as the ‘most arrogant person on TV’, and called for him to be axed from the show.

‘He needs to go!’ Australian viewers have called for David ‘Kochie’ Koch to be axed from Sunrise, after a segment on Thursday’s show left guest Jennifer Hawkins less than impressed with the host

‘Time for this guy to get the chop, he had his time in the limelight!’ one viewer wrote, while another added: ‘I stopped watching Sunrise during the pandemic. Kochie is so condescending. Their “interviews” are vacuous at best.’

‘Should be removed!’ another wrote, while a fourth agreed: ‘Indeed yes, can’t stand him!’

‘Good on you Jennifer, he needs to go – can’t stand him!’ another raged.

‘Don’t watch him or Karl they both need to be removed from Television,’ a viewer chimed in, while one other wrote: ‘Kochie is painful. Turned off Sunrise years ago.’

Not happy! Fans in their masses took to social media to share their views on the host – but others could see his point

However, others could see Kochie’s point of view, with one fan writing: ‘She and husband are clearly property investors. I don’t get why she doesn’t like the tag . Good on them.’

‘They literally buy run down houses on the Northern Beaches, renovate them and sell them. They do flip houses. Not sure why she would deny it.’ another added.

Kochie had introduced the interview segment by heaping praise on the blonde, describing her as a multi-tasking mother-of-one who recently ‘flipped her Sydney waterfront home’.

The seemingly harmless statement referred to the recent sale of Jennifer and Jake’s $24million Newport mansion – a property the couple had built on land they’d purchased for $4million in 2014.

Not happy: She proceeded to explain why she and her construction company owner husband are nothing like 'flippers' - a term describing people who buy and quickly resell properties for the purpose of generating profit

Over three minutes into her interview, Jennifer suddenly snapped at Kochie over his introduction speech.

‘You said we flipped! We did not flip our house,’ Jennifer firmly said, pointing her finger at Kochie while opening her eyes wide.

Taken aback, Kochie exclaimed: ‘Oh! You two are property moguls though! You’re doing so well.’

Jennifer, who had broken into a very awkward laugh, replied: ‘No, no… thank you.’

The glamazon explained that she and Jake simply sold their $24million Newport mansion in June, because they ‘just wanted to move on’ with their life.
