Real Housewives of Atlanta halts filming season 13 after a member of the ‘production team’ tests positive for COVID-19

Filming came to a halt on season 13 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta due to a coronavirus scare.

Sources revealed to PEOPLE magazine that a member of the ‘production team’ tested positive for COVID-19.

While it’s unclear if any of the women came into contact with the person who tested positive, the Bravo production is taking extreme precautions to ensure all safety measures are taken.

‘The set follows rigorous COVID-19 safety protocols including contract tracing,’ a source told the publication. ‘Out of an abundance of caution, production is shutting down for two weeks.’ 

Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams and newcomer Drew Sidora are all slated for the 13th season of the franchise.

RHOA joins a host of productions currently filming in Georgia, including Dear Evan Hansen, Dynasty season four, Mama June and a slew of Tyler Perry projects.

Gov. Brian Kemp released a detailed policy and procedure manual for the state’s film and television production industry in May. 

Similar to other state protocols, the guidelines include: frequent hand-washing, using personal protective equipment and face masks, avoiding physical contact and limiting the use of shared objects.
