Shannan Ponton puts pressure on Firass Dirani to QUIT SAS Australia after the recruits turn on him

The other recruits all turned on Firass Dirani during Tuesday’s explosive episode of SAS Australia.

After the 37-year-old actor broke protocol to return to base to rescue Candice Warner during an evacuation exercise, the recruits all discussed his actions.

Taking control of the conversation, Merrick Watts suggested they call in the show’s DS (directing staff) to discuss Firass’ behaviour.

‘We’ve got a problem and we want the problem solved. Because he’s not working with us as a team,’ added Erin McNaught.

Shannan Ponton said he’d previously pulled Firass aside for a private conversation, telling him everyone was ‘happy to forgive and forget’ if he became a team player.

‘We’ve tried everything,’ added the 46-year-old fitness trainer.

Merrick, 46, decided he’d go and speak to the DS, telling them that he and the other recruits had all agreed they could no longer work alongside Firass.

‘I’ve been delegated by the entire group to come out and speak to you about number 11,’ Merrick told chief instructor Ant Middleton.

‘They are concerned that he sacrifices mission objectives, that he puts us all at risk when we’re on a mission, and his behaviour continually upsets the group, not on a personal level, but on a mission objective level.

'I don't trust you. I don't trust you, and coming into the last few exercises, to be paired up with you, I'm worried,' Sabrina Frederick told him

‘We think that going forward, with missions becoming more complex, with missions becoming more difficult, that he’s not just a weak link, he’s actually a risk to the group.’

But Ant shut Merrick down, informing him that it wasn’t up to him to decide when Firass should leave the program.

‘We decide if he deserves to be here. Obviously he’s still here, so there’s something in there that we believe we can extract, otherwise we wouldn’t be wasting our time,’ Ant told him.

'I'm asking you as a man of integrity to please hand your armband in for the betterment of everyone else in your team,' Shannan Ponton told Firass

He added: ‘He’s on the course. You have to make it work. Understood?’

Merrick then returned to the other recruits, and they decided to stage an intervention with Firass.

‘I think your behaviour dictates your actions and your actions dictate team results, and the team results are bad,’ Merrick told Firass.

Staying put: After an intense stare-off with Shannan, Firass told the recruits he refused to turn in his number, telling them he belonged on the show

Added Sabrina Frederick: ‘I don’t trust you. I don’t trust you, and coming into the last few exercises, to be paired up with you, I’m worried.’

Erin, 38, told Firass that he wasn’t thinking about his teammates as the House Husbands star quietly listened.

‘Everybody so far has said they would not like to be with you heading into the next part,’ added Shannan, 46.

In an interview with news.com.au last month, Shannan labelled Firass a ‘sociopath’ and said he refused to apologise for his behaviour on the show.

‘Who the f**k is he to tell me how to act? I wasn’t there to comply or hide, or be a sheep. I went there to be me, and I didn’t fit into the construct of who he thought I needed to be,’ Firass told Daily Mail Australia.
