An amused wife has sparked a heated debate on social media after she shared a picture of how her husband hangs up his wet towel following a shower.

The woman, from Queensland, took a snap showing her towel draping neatly over a rack, while her husband’s one was bunched up with no room to dry efficiently.

‘Hubby’s wet towel hanging technique,’ she wrote in a Facebook group, along with a laughing emoji.

Many women quickly agreed it’s the most relatable post on social media this year.

‘Men… they’re all the same,’ one woman joked, while another said: ‘That would drive me mental. I swear my hubby does it to me on purpose.’

A third woman added: ‘My hubby does that with every single towel in the house. Hand towels, dish drying towels… you name it. It p***es me off.’

Other frustrated women said their own husband, boyfriend or even sons do the same thing with their wet towels after a shower.

‘Looks like my son has the same system,’ one mother wrote,’ while another said: ‘My husband hangs washing like this.’

And one added: ‘Why are they all like this?’

However, dozens said the woman’s husband deserved a little credit because ‘at least it made it there’ and ‘I would be happy it made it on the rail’.

‘Mine thinks laying it flat on the bed counts as hanging or drying… Never mind the wet patch on the blanket and bed. I’m forever hanging towels up,’ one said.

A second wrote: ‘At least he hung it… As soon as the towel is off my partner’s body, it hits the floor wherever he stands.’

‘Hey, the towel ended up on the towel rail… that’s a great start,’ another added, while one said: ‘Least he hangs it up, Mine usually leaves his on my side of the bed.’

Others suggested leaving the towel as is.

‘I would leave it and if he complains that his towel stinks after a day and it won’t dry then I would call it as it is,’ one woman said.

While one woman jokingly pleaded: ‘Can mums of boys please ensure your sons are taught basic stuff like this. Please for the love of all… It’s up to us to stop this madness for our future daughters.’

However, some said they were ‘lucky’ enough to not experience the same dilemma.

‘I think I’m one of the lucky ones. Mine came well trained, folds it in half and hangs it up nicely, puts the bathmat up and even puts the toilet seat and lid down,’ one said.

And another added: ‘Mine must be a legend… hangs it straight every time.’
