James Blunt refuses to address ‘wild night out’ with Karl Stefanovic’s in Ibiza

Karl Stefanovic has made no secret of his love for hitting the town with friends.

And on Tuesday, the Today show host was reminded of a wild night out with English singer James Blunt in Ibiza.

On the show to promote his new book, James acknowledged to Karl’s co-host Allison Langdon that the rumours were true.

Allison decided to go straight to the source and ask the 46-year-old Goodbye My Lover hitmaker if he could divulged detailed from their night out.

‘Before we talk about the book, James, Karl keeps talking about this night he had with you,’ Alison, 41, cheekily asked the singer. 

Karl quickly jumped to to say: ‘James doesn’t need to talk about it.’

‘I just want to know if you remember the night? Want to know if you remember the night with Karl?’ Alison continued. 

‘Well, I think what goes on in Ibiza probably stays in Ibiza, so I don’t think I should necessarily tell you about it,’ James joked.

An embarrassed Karl laughed off: ‘Exactly! I can’t remember any way.’

Karl and James’ unlikely connection was evident through their live interview, despite the television presenter being left in hysterics.

During the chat, Karl asked if there was a baby crying in the background to which James jokingly replied: ‘No, I have people locked up in different cupboards.’ 

The Channel Nine star couldn’t contain his laughter, as Alison joked towards her co-host: ‘I would love to lock you in a cupboard.’

However, James had the last laugh, telling the hosts: ‘I’ve [also got] a few journalists tucked away.’
