Lily Collins reveals she’s ‘enjoying being a fiancée’ to Charlie MacDowell as star admits her ‘fingers are crossed’ for second season of Emily In Paris
Lily Collins has revealed that she’s ‘enjoying being a fiancée’, as she settles into her new status following her engagement to Charlie McDowell in September.
The 31-year-old actress, daughter of British rocker Phil Collins, recently unveiled her new Netflix show Emily In Paris – and rather than focus on her next career step, the star has admitted that she’s embracing life as a wife-to-be.
In a new interview with Rollacoaster magazine she said: ‘I am just keeping fingers crossed for a season two for Emily. I am enjoying being a fiancée.

‘I am taking some time to really read and think about what is next for me. In the meantime, I’m embracing the exciting experience of being a fiancée and what all that means and just kind of sitting within that excitement.’
And Lily revealed relaxing nature walks with filmmaker Charlie, 37 – son of Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen – have helped her over the last few months.
She added: “I’ve had moments that are completely up and down… Every morning, we wake up and there is something new going on, and it has been so important for me and my fiancé and our little dog to continue getting out into nature.

‘We’ve been doing a couple of road trips to breathe and explore and feel inspired. This has been a really great time for more reflection and introspection and prioritising and figuring things out.’
The Mirror Mirror actress confirmed her engagement on Instagram in September.
Posting a picture on Instagram of the pair kissing while Lily showed off her ring, the Surrey-born actress wrote: ‘I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together.’
Lily previously confirmed she and Charlie were dating by making their romance Instagram official back in 2019.

And just a few months later, the couple adopted a rescue dog named Redford – who is ‘a mix of a few different breeds’ – together after they fell in love when they saw him at the Love Leo Rescue in Los Angeles, California.
Charlie took to his Instagram account to introduce their fans to pup and wrote at the time: ‘I’d like to introduce everyone to Redford. The newest member of the family.
‘A mix of a few different breeds, one of which is pug. His mom and six other siblings were dropped off at a shelter and then made their way to @loveleorescue.

The couple also created an Instagram account for Redford where they share photographs of their four-legged friend.
Prior to romancing Lily, writer and director Charlie was previously in a relationship with Game of Thrones’actress Emilia Clarke.
Lily has previously dated Jamie Campbell Bower and sparked romance rumours with Zac Efron.
