Octavia Spencer throws herself into character as she films season two of the crime series Truth Be Told in LA
Production on season two of Truth Be Told kicked-off in late October in the Los Angeles area.
And on Thursday, about a week-and-a-half into shooting, the Apple TV+ crime drama’s leading lady, Octavia Spencer, was spotted on the set.
The Oscar-winning actress, 50, is sharing the spotlight this season with Kate Hudson, who only recently signed-on to play a long time friend of Spencer’s character Poppy Parnell.

Spencer appeared to be in-between scenes dressed in black pants and a dark-purple, sleeveless shirt and, at times, a plaid coat.
She had her raven tresses styled long, straight and flowing past her shoulders with a part in the middle.
At times she was seen walking behind-the-scenes, and in others she seemed relaxed sitting in a chair as she talked on her phone.
In one instance, she appeared to be beaming from behind her face mask.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still raging across many states in the U.S., The Help star made sure to wear a protective mask whenever she was in the vicinity of her fellow cast and crew.
The shoot appeared to be in a residential neighborhood, likely in or near Downtown Los Angeles.
During her down time, Spence took to her Instagram page and posted a closeup selfie photo of herself while wearing her mask.
‘Am I in Europe?!! #Guess,’ she asked her 1.2 million fans and followers in the caption.
Many people were quick to respond ‘no’ and offer their guess, which in some cases was Los Angeles.

In the series, Spencer plays a true crime podcaster who sets out to solve a crime.
This second go-around, Hudson joins the cast and slips into the shoes of Micah Keith, a lifestyle guru and gal pal of Poppy.
However, their friendship is put to the test when the podcaster begins investigating a crime that both women are deeply entwined with, according to Variety.
The first season of Truth Be Told premiere last December, shortly after the launch of the Apple streaming service. It also starred Aaron Paul, Lizzy Caplan, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood and Ron Cephas Jones.
