Justin Bieber will join Dan + Shay to perform at 2020 CMA Awards

With six days to go, an array of country music stars have been added as performers at the 2020 CMA Awards.

Just announced Thursday as joining the line up are Dan + Shay with Justin Bieber, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban checking in from Australia.

The show, which will be broadcast live from Nashville on ABC on Wednesday night, will be hosted by Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker.

It will be the first time that pop star Bieber performs with Dan + Shay, showcasing their hit song 10,000 Hours.

The track, which was released in October 2019 just days after Bieber married Hailey Baldwin, is from the duo’s upcoming fourth studio album. 

Aldean and Bentley will join previously announced singers Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne and Jenee Fleenor to open the show with a tribute to the late Charlie Daniels.

Also taking the stage at Music City Center will be Little Big Town, Jimmie Allen, Ingrid Andress, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen.

Carly Pearce and Lee Brice will perform their collaboration I Hope You’re Happy Now, Miranda Lambert will perform Settling Down, Maren Morris will sing The Bones and Luke Combs will take the stage for a rendition of Cold as You. 

In a statement, CMA Awards Executive Producer Robert Deaton said: ‘We couldn’t be more excited to bring all of these incredible performances to life next Wednesday night and give our artists the chance to come together, in a big way, on television for the first time in months.’

He added: ‘We are honored, in this very challenging time, to help provide an escape and deliver a live awards show experience unlike any other this year,’ he added.

Entertainer of the year nominee Urban will give an intimate performance of  God Whispered Your Name from his home Down Under.

Little Big Town will pay tribute to the late Kenny Rogers while Charley Pride will be honored with the 2020 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. 

The long list of talent taking part in the awards show also includes Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Hillary Scott, and Chris Tomli, along with Gabby Barrett and Charlie Puth. 

The CMA nominees were announced last month with Lambert leading the pack with seven nominations. 

Combs is nominated six times, Maren Morris earned five nominations, and Dan + Shay and Pearce have four each.
