Chris Hemsworth is noticeably absent from his brother Luke’s birthday party

Chris Hemsworth was a no-show at his older brother Luke’s 40th birthday party in Byron Bay on Thursday.

Despite being in town, the 37-year-old Thor star was absent from the celebration at the Roadhouse café.

Interestingly, Chris’ wife of 10 years, Elsa Pataky, was in attendance, and was seen happily mingling with her in-laws.

The other guests included Luke’s wife, Samantha; his parents, Craig and Leonie; his brother Liam; and Liam’s girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks.

While he may not have attended the birthday part, Chris was spotted out in Byron Bay earlier that same day.

He was seen pulling beach towels off the trailer of his pickup truck with his shirt off.  

It appears her went for an early-morning swim at the beach. 

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Chris Hemsworth’s management for comment.

Liam, 30, shared a photo of himself and his two brothers on Instagram on Thursday to mark Luke’s milestone birthday.

‘Happy 40th birthday! You’ve been a wonderful brother all these years. I’ve taught you well… the rest is up to you. Love you, Luke!’ he wrote in the caption.

Luke commented: ‘Thanks, Liam. You’ll always be the the little brother who’s best at crying! Love you forever’.

Chris didn’t share a post for his brother’s birthday. His most recent Instagram post is a video of his six-year-old son riding a horse from three days ago.

‘My six-year-old really likes horse riding, he also likes flying. Here he is trying to apply the two together,’ he captioned the clip.
