The 25-year-old Bachelorette enjoyed one last date with the labourer in the back of a ute, with one viewer branding it ‘peak Australia’.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to complain about the date, claiming it lacked the glitz and glamour of previous seasons.
‘A date in the back of a ute is a new kind of budget,’ wrote one person, while another added, ‘Bouquet on a Ute. This is Australian romance sweaty [sic].’
‘Oh god, it truly is budget Bachie this year, hey? Not only is there no cheese, they can’t even afford couches now,’ commented one viewer.
Tweeted another: ‘There is NOTHING more country than having a date on the back of a brand new Ute drinking Champagne’.
Others said it was obvious the show was fixated on the fact Bachelorettes Becky and Elly grew up in the country.
