Sunrise: Natalie Barr STUNS in blinding diamond earrings as she reports on the US election

Sunrise newsreader Natalie Barr STUNS in blinding diamond earrings and a chic blue trench coat as she covers the presidential election in Washington, D.C.

She’s currently in Washington, D.C., covering the nail-biting presidential election for Channel Seven breakfast show Sunrise.

And Natalie Barr certainly cut a suave figure as she reported from the White House on Thursday morning, during a live segment in discussion with host David Koch.

The 52-year-old journalist dazzled viewers as she sported a pair of huge diamond earrings, which she made even more visible by twisting her hair into a chic bun.

Natalie looked remarkably youthful despite wearing minimal makeup, and only highlighted her features with a touch of blush and lip gloss.

She wrapped up in a stunning navy blue trench coat, which she teamed with a black jumper underneath.

While subtle, Nat has stuck with the ‘blue’ theme for her outfit choices for a second day in a row, despite raising eyebrows on Wednesday for wearing a blue blazer – the colours of the Democratic party.

The U.S. election has attracted unprecedented coverage in Australia because of the controversial presidency of Donald Trump and his unlikely Democrat challenger, Joe Biden, all held within the turmoil of the Covid pandemic.

Nat has been busy covering the historical event all week, and during her TV appearance on Thursday morning she discussed the atmosphere around the White House as the world continues to await confirmation of who has won.

‘Total chaos and confusion,’ she said to host Kochie. ‘…anger, and incredulousness. Everyone is really, really angry.

‘Especially when Trump got up there last night at 2:20am, called that press conference and said “We’ve won the election”.

‘Then said “the system is rigged, they’re stealing the election from us as we’ve really won, and I’m going to take it to the Supreme Court.”‘

She signed off the segment with: ‘Good luck America!’
