Zoë Foster Blake reveals how a failed relationship turned her ‘against women’ – as she discusses her ‘rock-solid’ marriage to Hamish Blake

Zoë Foster Blake has revealed that a failed relationship in her twenties turned her ‘against women’.

On Tuesday, the journalist and beauty guru, 40, told the How To Life podcast that her view of other women changed when an ex-boyfriend ‘betrayed’ her.

‘I had a relationship in my twenties where it turned me against women,’ the Go-To skincare founder explained.

‘It’s such a strange and emotional juvenile way to go against your competitor rather that the person who betrayed you and made that decision,’ she added.

‘And this bulls**t idea that women are inherently competitive with each other and we’re all scratching and fighting over the one man is ridiculous.’

Zoë said she ‘had to learn to love the sisterhood’ over time as she recovered from her heartbreak.

‘I think that’s something that happens probably a bit early in your life, and as you get older you understand the nuances between how that [cheating] would happen, and you probably turn most of your anger toward your partner,’ she added.

Elsewhere in the chat, Zoë revealed that she and her husband, comedian Hamish Blake, have ‘very open discussions’ about infidelity.

The author, who recently wrote about cheating in her book Clean Slate, said: ‘We are rock solid and we don’t have the threat of infidelity and I really believe that. But it’s always an interesting conversation.

‘I have the capacity to write about things like this because my life is very blessed and happy and I’m not actually living it.’
