The Block: Tash hits rock bottom over her budget blow-out

With the end in sight for The Block’s five teams, emotions are at an all-time high.

And on Monday night’s episode, Tash broke down in tears over her massive budget blow-out on her and Harry’s garden and facade.

As a project manager by trade, Tash struggled with the fact she and her father were in the ‘red zone’ as they began work on their studio and garage.

‘I feel like an idiot. I feel like I’m a bad project manager because I couldn’t manage the budget,’ she said through tears. 

‘I’m embarrassed that it’s gotten to this point because it’s not me. I don’t do this. I don’t go over budget like this. So the fact that last week got out of control, that gets to me.’

Later, the roles were reversed when Harry broke down after he was forced to take down the plaster on the roof.

A fed-up Harry threatened to quit, saying: ‘I just want to go home. I’ve had enough.’ 

It comes after Harry and Tash finished last for their facade and garden on Sunday night’s episode.

After Sarah and George, and Jimmy and Tam, were announced as the winners tying on 29 points, Tash was heard sobbing in the bathroom and was comforted by Jade.

‘I just wanna go home. I just wanna go home,’ she said in between tears. ‘It’s like you try and [it’s] for nothing. And you just get s**t tipped on you.’  

‘We’re not gonna be able to finish the house,’ she continued, referencing how she and Harry were in dire need of money to finish the build.
