Dancing With The Stars’ Lindsay Arnold shared a first look at her ‘little family’ after giving birth to her first child with husband, Samuel Lightner Cusick, on Monday.

Just hours after the 26-year-old professional dancer welcomed a baby girl, she updated her more than 868,000 Instagram followers about the ‘very special day.’

‘Baby Girl and mama are healthy and well,’ she captioned a snap of herself after undergoing a cesarean section, without revealing her baby’s name. ‘More details to come but wanted to share this first pic of our little family.’

In the adorable picture, she can be seen tenderly holding her newborn, while her husband closely crouched forward in a blue hospital gown on the operating table.

As Arnold tenderly stroked their infant’s head, the first-time papa proudly beamed at the camera, with his surgical mask pulled under his chin.

Her DWTS family, including Britt Stewart, Artem Chigvintsev and Peta Murgatroyd, flooded her post with love and well wishes.

‘Omg congratulations, so so beautiful,’ commented Chigvintsev, who became a dad to his and fiancé Nikki Bella’s son Matteo in July.

The new mom also looked giddy, after initially announcing the news through a video on her Instagram Story, captioned: ‘Sooo… a thing might have happened.’

Arnold’s footage showed her resting in a hospital bed with a bright smile across her face, after completing 39 weeks of pregnancy.

‘Ohhhhhh baby! Mom and Dad love you already #November2020 #pregnant #pregnancyannouncement,’ the DWTS pro wrote on Instagram.

Her pregnancy news came as quite a shock to her fans, since she had put her abs on full display on social media earlier in the month.

Lindsay and husband Samuel got married in 2015, during a ceremony held into Salt Lake City, Utah. The couple got engaged in 2014 during a romantic vacation in Africa.

‘I’m so excited to dance through life with Sam. I could never have imagined that when I was 16 years old I would have met the man I would marry and who would be my partner – yesterday, today and tomorrow,’ said Arnold in a statement to People at the time.

A year after their marriage, the high school sweethearts told ET that they ‘definitely [wanted] kids’ but that, at the time, they were not ready to begin a family.

‘We would like to wait. We both want to do everything that we want to do, so that when we have children, we can really be there for them. We’re still enjoying just being newlyweds right now,’ explained the professional dancer.

News of Arnold’s pregnancy comes just six-months after the tragic loss of her mother-in-law Jennifer Cusick in 2019.

Jennifer’s unexpected passing forced Arnold to step away from her Dancing With The Stars duties, where she was actively competing with former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

Lindsay began her career on Dancing With The Stars during season 16 of the competition show in 2013.
