Pete was once a respected restaurateur and spent a decade as a judge on Channel Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, alongside Manu Feildel.

But these days, he is a conspiracy theorist who spreads dangerous lies on social media about vaccinations, medicine and the coronavirus pandemic.

In response to his extreme views, Seven has cut all ties with Pete – but Network 10 is now said to be considering offering him employment in a bid to draw ratings.

I’m a Celebrity returns to screens on January 3, and will be filmed in country New South Wales instead of South Africa due to border closures.

Earlier this week, Woman’s Day reported that Pete was on Channel 10’s wish list of star campers, alongside party-loving Instagram sensation Tammy Hembrow and former soap actress Bec Hewitt.

‘It’s no secret that producers have been angling to get Bec and Lleyton on the show for years – their combined star power would be an absolute ratings smash hit,’ a source said.

‘The fact they’re filming in Australia means it will be so much easier for Bec to commit,’ they added.

In addition to Bec, Pete and Tammy, the likes of Tania Zaetta, Ian Thorpe, George Calombaris and Abbie Chatfield are said to be in the running.

The latest rumours about the line-up come after Daily Mail Australia revealed that AFL legend Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico would be appearing on the new series.
