Ali Oetjen slams Firass Dirani for having ‘no remorse or awareness’ on SAS Australia

Ali Oetjen has taken aim at her SAS Australia co-star Firass Dirani.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday, the 31-year-old was crystal clear about her feelings towards the House Husbands star, and his often-divisive actions on the military-style show. 

‘Firass just has no remorse [and] he has no awareness of his actions,’ said the former Bachelorette star. 

‘I think that was the most annoying and frustrating thing, [and] I can’t understand why he was the way he was.’

Ali went on to say Firass, who has frequently appeared smart-mouthed on the show, often seemed oblivious to what he was doing to the group. 

‘I can’t see how he couldn’t see that it was affecting us and didn’t think it was doing anything to us,’ she said. 

‘He thought that he was just the one getting punished because of his mouth, but he couldn’t see that it was affecting us and that made it so much worse.’ 

Ali finished by saying Firass didn’t seem like a team player.  

‘I suppose we didn’t really like his character, because he wasn’t a team player and I don’t know what was going on in his head,’ she said. 

Ali’s comments come after Shannan Ponton sensationally labelled Firass a ‘sociopath’ because of his behaviour on the military-style show.   

‘I honestly believe that he’s a sociopath in his behaviour,’ the father-of-two said in an interview with news.com.au last week. 

The two men have repeatedly clashed on the show, mainly due to the Firass’ bratty behaviour towards the directing staff (DS) which has resulted in group punishments. 

On last Monday’s episode, several cast members pleaded with Firass to stop ‘gobbing off’ at the DS and to start being a team player.  

‘It was as infuriating as it was confusing. At no stage did he ever assume responsibility for his actions. At no stage did he say sorry,’ Shannan said of Firass showing little remorse for the consequences of his behaviour   

‘The thing that really got under my skin is that he’d go off on some sort of tangent that he was there to be punished and he was there to do it the hard way, like some kind of martyr. But the only problem with that kind of thinking was that each time he did something stupid, we were the ones that got punished,’ Shannan added.

While he described Firass as a ‘sociopath’, it’s important to note that Shannan is not a doctor and is not qualified to make a psychiatric diagnosis.        

Firass later fired back at Shannan following the comments.  

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia last week, the actor branded the burly trainer a ‘redneck’, and labelled him a ‘culture vulture’ for having Maori tattoos.

‘I find it strange where this vile aggressive labelling behaviour is coming from? I suspect there’s more prejudice against me than I imagined,’ Firass said.  

‘Feels like a redneck to me. Him and his followers. That’s called a line in the sand.’

‘What’s with his Maori tattoos? You’re embarrassing a whole culture. You are not worthy of such ancestral powerful artwork. You don’t even fall on the coattails of such warriors. You culture vulture,’ he added in another swipe.
